But… body shape IS predetermined, at least to an extent? I’m sorry, but two people with the same healthy diet and exercise plan will still potentially look completely different. That doesn’t mean someone CANNOT change their body shape, but going against genetics and nature is undeniably difficult. And yeah, unfortunately, some people WILL have to suffer more than others to have that idealized model figure.

I never said people needed to change their body. What pisses me off is the notion that body shape is pre-determined. IMO it’s why girls starve themselves. They’re “naturally chubby” and *Dove ad type cheering up* so to be hot they have to suffer.

Instead people should be told proper exercise and nutrition.

They don’t NEED to do it, but they should have the knowledge in case they WANT to so they don’t follow all the stupid diet (and usually no exercise) plans out there.

Er, what? How is it a cop-out? Some people ARE naturally skinny or chubby or in-between. Going beyond the natural, healthy shape of your body is very difficult for some people, and I don’t see the reason why they should need to, anyway. It’s a fact, not an excuse.

can’t believe that micheal hatley of project runway canada worked with jason myers from season 2 of project runway canada!!!

  7. January 27th, 2010 at 15:59 | #7

“real woman” is really dumb but don’t say “naturally skinny”. It’s the same principle as “naturally fat”. They’re both cop-outs.

There’s nothing wrong with being thin, but you can put on muscle and fat the same as every human being (just as you can lose it).

evan is so weird….he reminds me of Jay McCarrol from season one of PR USA

  9. February 1st, 2010 at 10:17 | #9

i just cant help but get offended when people say that a ”real woman” has a 36 24 36 frame. i mean..they’re are naturally skinny girls in the world too! does that make us any less feminine? and funny that the comment came from a *** guy.
